I am a junior graphic designer with some freelance contractor experience. I have done a lot of pro bono work to build my portfolio and am looking to find full time work with a San Francisco-based company, preferably in a team setting. I do work well alone, but I find that I thrive in a team-oriented environment. Perhaps because I run weekly team exercises in the form of Dungeons & Dragons. You could say that I am the kind of guy you'd like to have on your side when going up against a dragon.

My portfolio showcases a lot of my professional work as well as some personal projects that I am proud of. My style is fairly straightforward and my designs tend toward the fantastic. I am passionate about a number of topics ranging from health, wellness, and nutrition to fantasy, collectible cards and tabletop role-playing games.

My resume includes my graphics work experience thus far and shows my progress from graduation, to campus intern, to independent contractor all within the same institution. I can provide many references that speak to my strengths (and weaknesses), but this progression shows that I am not only dependable and consistent, but also easy to work with and eager to learn. I have done some great work with West Valley College in Saratoga, CA. However, I have taken flight to the City by the Bay and now I crave new challenges and opportunities from one of the best cities in the US!

I like to have fun just like everyone else! While graphic design is a big part of my life, I do also have other interests that take me away from my work. However, I can't say I get very far because I am an artist at heart. You'll find some of my favorite hobbies below.

I enjoy painting, but not in the traditional sense. I still use brushes and paints, but instead of canvas, I paint miniature pewter figurines. The kind used for tabletop gaming. Ever since I was young, I have admired these figures, but it wasn't until I was an adult that I learned to start painting them. It is really quite therapeutic!

Gaming has always been a favorite pastime of mine. Board games, card games, video games and pen & paper role playing games are all near and dear to my heart. While providing hours of fun, these games also teach teamwork, sportsmanship and strategy. All things that everyone can benefit from at any age.

I was a bartender for a number of years in a Downtown San Jose nightclub. Although I don't sell cocktails anymore, I do still enjoy mixing up my own creations and making traditional cocktails that were less popular in the nightclub setting. I used to be a big fan of vodka, but now my favorite cocktail is a manhattan on the rocks.

There is no better way to combat caloric intake than exercise. I like many different forms of exercise, but my favorite are yoga, pilates, weightlifting, spinning, step aerobics and swimming. Though above all, I love yoga the most. For me, there is no other exercise that works your entire body as well as your mind and spirit!

If you would like to contact me please do so by any means provided here. As mentioned above, I am seeking full time employment in San Francisco, but am currently available for internships and contracted work. I am also willing to do pro bono work for a worthy cause. I look forward to hearing from you!
